Welcome to Amsterdam
Geoffrey Garrett
Dean and Reliance Professor of Management and Private Enterprise, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania
Sustainable economic development is one of the most critical issues facing the world today. Affecting everyone from multinational organizations to individuals, addressing sustainable economic development head-on requires global thinking and collaborative approaches.
The Wharton Global Forum Amsterdam will be highly interactive with round-table discussions, conversations with industry experts moderated by Wharton faculty, networking lunches, and opportunities for groups to connect and share findings with each other. Forum participants can choose to dive deeper into a variety of topics related to sustainable economic development, such as geopolitics and public/private partnerships, finding solutions to escalating resource needs, supporting long-term development of businesses in emerging markets, and fostering change through education and social impact investing.
The knowledge generated and shared by Wharton faculty and alumni, both in industry and government, is highly influential on global business and society around the world. We are looking forward to bringing together these leaders in thought and action at the Wharton Global Forum Amsterdam. I extend my sincere thanks to our organizing committee members who have worked hard to develop the Forum content and plan what is sure to be an exciting and collaborative event.
I’m looking forward to seeing you in Amsterdam on June 22-23, 2016.
Sincerely,
Geoffrey Garrett
